2 days ago I was at mile 12 at the Long Island 1/2 Marathon thinking ” I’m a crazy bastard for doing this!” My side ached, my right foot felt like it was being held together by my sneaker and if I were hunched over anymore I’d be looking at the guy running behind me.
So 2 days later what am I doing? I’m planning a training strategy for my first full marathon. 20 weeks of running and I can’t wait to start. So what’s wrong with me? Well a lot of things, Just ask my wife, but let’s not go there. People say and I agree, that the best part of any goal is the journey to get there. So I’m psyched to get started and to hitting the pavement once again so this time I can be on mile 24 and say to myself “Your a crazy bastard for doing this!”
